Paramedic Registered Nurse – Generation 2
Story Behind the Design

If you’ve seen my collection before, you probably know that generic designs aren’t really my style. Too many professional symbols start to blend together over time, like a desk covered in blank copy paper. My philosophy has always been simple: if something is important, it should stand out.

The Generation 2 Paramedic Registered Nurse design represents the evolution of a symbol created to honor those who carry licenses in both pre-hospital emergency medicine and hospital-based nursing care.
At the center of the design is the Caduceus, representing medicine and healing. While the Rod of Asclepius is traditionally recognized as the classical medical symbol, the Caduceus has long been associated with the broader practice of medicine and the movement between different realms of care.

Above the staff sits a winged shield, symbolizing protection and service. The shield reflects the responsibility of safeguarding life, while the wings represent the ability to move quickly between environments where care is needed most.
Behind the staff is the medical cross, representing the hospital environment and the depth of clinical knowledge that nursing brings to patient care.

The Star of Life placed within the shield represents the field of emergency medical services and the rapid response required when seconds matter most.

Together these elements represent a professional who bridges two demanding disciplines—the structured world of nursing and the unpredictable reality of paramedic medicine.

The bold red outer ring symbolizes urgency, readiness, and the constant call to respond when someone needs help.

This Generation 2 design reflects the continued evolution of the Nurse Medic identity and the professionals who dedicate themselves to mastering both worlds.

To those who have pursued this path, congratulations. The journey is not easy, but the patients and communities you serve are better for it.

With Great Respect,
Mrs. Nurse Medic

• 26% cotton, 74% polyester
• 3″ (7.6 cm) in diameter
• Iron-On, Pin-On, sew-on attachment

Follow these steps when attaching patches by iron-on backing:
1. Choose the item on which you plan to attach the patch. As a general rule, the fabric you choose should be at least as heavy as the patch. Fabrics like denim and cotton provide the best base for iron-on patches.
2. Lay your item on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
3. Heat up the iron to the hottest setting your fabric can tolerate. Make sure the "steam" option is turned off.
4. Iron the place where you plan to place the patch.
5. Place a thin garment over the patch.
6. Position the heated iron over the garment that you placed over the patch and press down firmly for about 25 seconds on each side.
7. Remove the iron and allow the patch to cool.
8. Check to see whether the patch is fixed on securely by gently rubbing at the edge with a finger. If it lifts up a bit, repeat the process.
9. For a completely secure patch, use a sewing machine or a needle and thread to secure the patch to the fabric.

Full adhesiveness will be achieved in 48 hours.

Disclaimer: Don’t wash the item more than necessary since this process may cause the patch to start coming off. If you do need to wash the item, hand wash it using cold water. Allow it to air dry.

As a Paramedic and a Nurse, it's hard to find items that reflect my training and experience. I'd like to see more offered by the seller, particularly t-shirts and hoodies. Love the design.

This is an excellent patch! I am delighted to include it in my collection. The seller also included a matching sticker! This item is truly unique, and I wholeheartedly endorse this seller! Transactions do not get any better!
